Air Conditioning

February 1st, 2011

Air conditioning is the idea that heat should be removed from indoor air.  Of course, the main reason is so that the person(s) sitting in the room are quite comfortable.

In today’s society, we have become completely reliant on this piece of technology.  In some parts of the United States, areas like Florida have extreme high temperatures for most of the year.  With air conditioning, people can escape from the heat to an indoor area to literally cool themselves down.

This exhibit will look at how air conditioning started and the impact that it has had on us.  It will feature some pictures and a look at the father of this creation, Willis Carrier.  Now the only thing you have to do is sit back, relax, stay cool, and enjoy the exhibit.
